Neoptera Aero est une société franco-britannique, implantée à Toulouse (France) et à Bristol (Royaume Uni), fondée en 2001 qui développe depuis 2017 un Aéronef à Décollage et Atterrissage Vertical (ADAV) et à propulsion électrique distribuée, forte de l’expérience de son équipe.

Cet aéronef, l’eOpter, décliné en plusieurs versions, aura la capacité de transporter jusqu'à 500 kg de charge utile ou 5 personnes. La finalité de l’eOpter est de créer un aéronef ayant la versatilité de l’hélicoptère tout en améliorant la sécurité en vol et au sol (survol de zone habitées), réduisant la signature sonore (notamment avec la version électrique de l’aéronef), réduisant les coûts d’acquisition et d’opération et à termes offrir un vol autonome sans pilote.

Neoptera Aero travaille en étroite collaboration avec l’ISAE-SUPAERO, l’Aerospace Valley, Bristol UWE ainsi que des partenaires industriels sur le développement de briques technologiques.

Neoptera Aero is a British and French company, based in Bristol (England) and Toulouse (France). Having supplied consultancy services to the aerospace industry since 2001, Neoptera Aero has been developing since 2017 an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft thanks to a small but highly experienced team of aircraft engineers.

The aircraft has distributed electric propulsion along a tandem wing configuration and is capable of transporting up to 5 passengers or 500kg of payload. The eOpter concept has the versatility of an helicopter in vertical flight, the efficiency of an aircraft in horizontal flight and promises to improve safety in the air and on the ground (to be used in urban environment), reduce noise pollution, reduce air pollution and reduce acquisition and operating cost. Piloted at first, the aircraft will be ready for future autonomous flight.

We work closely with Bristol UWE, ISAE-SUPAERO, the Aerospace Valley as well as a partners on the development of key technological bricks.
